Open Remote Assistance by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Maintenance, and then clicking Windows Remote Assistance.
Click Invite someone you trust to help you.
Click Use email to send an invitation
Please note at the bottom of the Windows Remote Assistance dialog whether Windows Firewall is blocking Windows Remote Assistance. In order to unblock Remote Assistance, click the Start button and type Firewall and choose Windows Firewall.
Then enter a password twice and click Next.
Windows XP
Click Start, click Help and Support, and then click Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote Assistance. This is located under the Ask for assistance heading.
Click Invite someone to help you, and then select Save Invitation as a file.
Enter your name, and then choose a time on the Set the Invitation to Expire drop down box, (the default is 1 hour). Click Continue.
Type in a password and then click Save Invitation. The Save File dialog box appears. Save the file in the My Documents folder or on the desktop.
Open the My Documents folder or whereever you saved the file, select the invitation file, and then click E-mail this file.
Enter mdowden@villagraphx.com and send the e-mail.
